by Leslie Lamberson, Asscoiate Professor @ Colorado School of Mines
Golden, CO – Exciting upgrade for the X-STRM Lab at the Colorado School of Mines! Today, we received a brand-new upgraded target tank for our 2-stage light-gas gun, taking our research capabilities to the next level.
A huge thank you to Hadland Imaging, and a special shoutout to Matt and Alex for their effort in fabricating and delivering it to us. With this enhancement, we’re looking forward to improving our optical diagnostics and integrating our Scandiflash Flash X-ray capabilities into our hypervelocity experiments.
This upgrade will enable us to dive even deeper into cutting-edge impact in-situ studies and dynamic material behavior research. Stay tuned for the exciting work ahead!
