Fixed-focus high-intensity LED lighting system designed for direct lighting of material samples for ultra high-speed imaging during high strain rate testing (HSRT).
The REL WS1 16″ LED Ring Light features a continuous duty cycle, focusing hundreds of watts of light on an area of 1 square inch at a fixed focal distance of 12 inches. No flash duration or delay calculations needed. The output is dimmable from 0–100% to accommodate exposure, material sample reflectivity and various lens configurations.
TIR (total internal reflection) lenses illuminate material samples while the mounting frame allows coaxial alignment with your ultra high-speed camera, featuring quick adjustments for tilt and pan. Integrated fine lead screw adjustments are used for individual camera and lighting focal distance. The high-intensity continuous light source combined with the ease of adjusting and focusing ensures quick setups and consistent ultra high-speed imaging results.

The REL WS2 14″ Hexagon LED module is for those who need to reach out and light up events that need to be observed and recorded at a distance due to operator safety and camera destruction concerns. The WS2 module consists of 36 ultra high-intensity LEDs focused through TIR (total internal reflection) lenses to create concentrated 5˚ beams to ensure the light is centered on your target.

REL WS3 7.25″ Hexagon LED modules are elegantly designed and precision engineered with 120 high-intensity LED emitters with high-performance lenses. The 600W continuous output is variable from 0–100% to accommodate exposure, material sample reflectivity, and lens configurations. Each module includes input/output triggers which can be used to connect and coordinate your ultra high-speed testing events and features a magnetically attached laser alignment sight for precise beam adjustment.
WS3 LED modules feature a unique hexagonal design allowing for multiple modules to be combined in a variety of arrays to achieve the ultimate level of high-intensity LED illumination with a continuous duty cycle. This flexibility enables effective illumination to achieve high-quality digital image correlation (DIC) with a single ultra high-speed camera for 2D DIC or with multiple cameras for 3D DIC.

REL WS4 2.5″ Square LED modules are compact and versatile high-intensity illumination for ultra high-speed applications. Engineered with high efficiency pin fin heat sinks allows for continuous duty light power intensities that were previously only available with burst mode power supplies. This feature allows simplified On/Off control while remaining compact, quiet and intensely bright.
The WS4 2.5″ Square LED module has twelve 1/4–20 threaded mounting points (three on each side) that allows it to be used individually with a common tripod and RAM® mounts or linked together in larger arrays with custom mounts. Featuring a standard 15 degree beam angle with options for angles up to 60 degrees and custom color emitters, the WS4 2.5″ Square LED can be tuned or scaled for any application to light it up brighter than ever.
